Seriously! Who are we kidding? The Nebraska department of Health and Human services, is the biggest joke and waste of tax dollars, I've had the misfortune to deal with.

Late last night, my husbands niece, beat her 14 year old son so bad, he had visible bloody scratches on his face, and a bruise on his head from either a blunt object, or she slammed his head against the wall.

So the cops get called, the State, thankfully takes him out of the home, but by the nd of the day are thinking, it would be ok with counseling to put him back in the home.



I do understand that at 14, and he is a big kid, he can defend himself, but what do you do when he loses it, and kills his mother? Not that she's that great a mother, but still? Come ON!

The state of Nebraska's health and human services as been under review, or audit, or investigation for several years because they can't seem to get their shit together.

To me this is absolutely appalling! Our governor needs to put someone in charge and tell them to clean it up! Make a decision! Make choices and LAY DOWN THE LAW!

As it stands now, it sounds like the Nebraska department of health and human services is going to put this beat up child back in the home on Monday. With counseling of course. *rolls eyes*

The Mom is going to suffer no repercussions or arrest for the beating this kid took. Just go hold hands with a counselor.

Give me a fucking break, this bitch should be in jail.

Now this child wants to hurt his girlfriends dad, because he is up in the air because his daughter has been drug into this mess, but, because this child is now a ward of the state, the threatening text messages he is sending, law enforcement has no jurisdiction!

After my last post, I've come to realize a few things.

One, I can't afford to move right now. However, I already have a list of things I need done/fixed. By the time the highschool football season is over, if the roomie is not gone, I will be.

This man said it would be a week, and he had an apartment. Well, he lied. He does not have an apartment, he has my spare bedroom.

He was looking at smut on my computer, when I had a fit with my Dh over it, he defended him not me.


The hub is good at feeling sorry for folks and dragging them home, for ME to take care of. Never mind, that he always defends them, at my expense.

As much as I love where I live, and I hate to give up the dream, I think it's time to move on.

I think it would be great to never have to worry about someone else dragging home folks they want me to take care of.

Just me and my dog and my kids and my grand babies and my internet friends.

I'm tired of giving up my home and kissing the asses of folks who are nothing more than leeches.And paying for them to live and eat in my home! Oh, and cleaning up after them too!

Crap, I sound like a victim. Something I swore I would not do.

My hub gives me crap all the time for not trusting people. Well, those people prove me right over and over and over.

Here is the story, we know this guy, his wife has a terminal illness. Supposedly, she filed for divorce, in hopes that if she did it, she could get care through Medicare/cade or what ever. Rob her hub needed a place to stay for a week, we know him, long time friend, ok.

Now, not so much. I was gone last n ight, came home fired up my computer to find he'd been posting at rude back rub .com and several xxx dating sites. got all this titty shit on my computer. Mom is not a happy camper

in the am, it's Rob or me. Hub puts up too much fight, I can go elsewere!

This and that

Woo HOo! I have sprouts in my little starter boxes in the mini greenhouse in my spare bedroom! Come on spring and summer, I want to garden.

The hub has had the flu all weekend and being his normal woos self. I want orange juice, so I make juice. Could I have ice? So dump half of juice back in pitcher and get ice and so it goes.

I am concerned for him, given the heart issues he's had over the last year. I don't want him to get to dehydrated, I don't know what kind of affect that will have on the results of his recent surgery and the meds he takes.

Hope he's feeling better soon, because I have plans to leave on Thursday with our son and spend 3 days out of town, goofing off, and learning stuff at a highschool football coaching clinic in Lincoln. Go Huskers! Been there before, it's a lot of fun.

So, back to the whole "Sister wives" show. At first, I was a bit surprised at myself and my acceptance of the lifestyle. I'm a conservative, Republican, Lutheran. But after thinking about it a bit. I realized, the family takes care of each other and is a team, in some ways mirrors the way I grew up.

While there is no polygamy in my family, on one side, my great grandmother always lived with my grandparents. That's just the way it was. On the other side, my great grandmother made the rounds and lived with each of her children for about 6 months and then moved on to another child.

It was fun to have that kind of family togetherness.

In the case of my rotating great grandmother, my family, lived on the other side of the barn, from my grandparents, and when Great gramma Rice was living with them, it was great fun. We had Mom, Dad, siblings, Gramma, Grand dad, Great Gramma, and a couple of aunts as well. Along with Uncle Dale, who popped in and out and was and still is my fave relative.

Everyone knew what their responsibilities were, and we took care of that, but at the same time we had tons of fun.

Great Grandmother Rice, taught me how to churn butter, she knew how to raise and feed a family back in the day, she died in like 1973 at 80 years old. But at the same time, she always wore a dress, and heels, and painted her nails, and never came out of her bedroom, unless she looked good!

Great Gramma Fiscus, on the other side of the family, WOW! What a courageous woman. Her husband, left Illinois, came to western Nebraska and homesteaded. Sent for her and several children, when the deal was done. She arrived on the train, in the middle of the winter and rented a wagon and a team of horses and drove 20 miles by herself while it was snowing to get to the new place.

She passed at 95 years old, in 1980, but she lived long enough for me to get pictures of her holding my twin boys.

She taught me stuff too! Mostly gardening stuff, but also good nutrition, manners, etc.

As I said before, while I don't feel I could live a polygamist lifestyle, I believe the world would be better off, if we would give more credit to the extended and close family lifestyle.

I am lucky to have had a very close family, lots of relatives, close by. They taught me so much about team work, and love and responsibility fun, give and take and, well just lots of stuff. Lessons you won't get anywhere else.

Sister Wives!

Haven't posted in awhile, life has a way of getting the better of best intentions.

So I was so excited for the new season of Sister Wives! Love that show.

I really do not get the whole "investigation" of their lifestyle?

I am a conservative, Lutheran, Republican.

My problem with the "investigation" of this family is, what makes them any different, (from a legal standpoint) than the "live in or out" people where one man has multiple girlfriends and children, just has not claimed to have married them?

Now, I am going out on the NOT PC limb. The Sister Wives family seems to be a great family. I know it is reality tv and I get that part.

But, what about the drug dealer, most likely black or hispanic that has umpteen girlfriends with umpteen kids, he's not listed anywhere as married, or a Dad,he's not paying any child support, he's flying under the radar, yet collecting multiple welfare benefits,form multiple mothers of his children, and still does not have a job, and the rest of us who work and pay our taxes are supporting his lazy drug dealing, prostitution peddling, drug dealing, no tax paying lazy ass!

Leave the Cody Brown family alone! They are a good, clean, all American family, that supports love, sharing, education, spirituality, work ethic, and tolerance.

Bear with me while I explain my situation. My husband has been having problems with his heart. He keeps going into A-fib, while not lethal on it's own, it can cause death due to blood clots. We've been doctoring with the great folks from the Heart Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins, CO and they've been great, helping us through this.

On Thursday the hubby was given a "King of hearts" at home heart monitor to wear and press record any time his heart went wacko.

Well it did at 1 this morning. He woke me up at 3:15a.m. to take him to the ER. We were instructed by the monitor people to call them and send the "king of hearts" info to them over the phone. After we got to the ER, we called them, OMG! I have no idea what kind of education the woman who answered the phone has, but she did not speak good English, she had a horrid accent, and she was not listening to what I was telling her. After sending her the info from the monitor, she said he should go to the hospital. I had already told her we were in the ER. *rolls eyes* Now the hubby is hooked up to all the ER monitors and this dingy woman, keeps telling me, take him to the hospital, hook the "king of hearts" back up, download more info.

HELLO! WE ARE IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM! Everything is being recorded on their machines! I finally took the hospitals portable phone to the ER nurse, who knew what was going on and had her talk to the lady from the land of OZ and explain to her that there would be no more downloads, as he was in the hospital and being treated and all heart activity was being recorded. She still did not get it. The Dr. on call finally took the phone and told her "We have it handled" have a good day!

This is America, I am an American, and I want to talk to "English" speaking people when I need something. If you speak another language, fine, we'll get you a translator. But, I should not need one! This is America! Speak my language, and listen to what I'm telling you!

I watched your show where you talked about President Obama, and the whole race issue.

I don't give 2 hoots and a holler what color he is. This comes from an old white woman, born and raised in western Nebraska, where there are not a lot of black folks.

What I do care about is what he does and how he represents our nation.

I do not like president Obama, or his wife. They hit the White House with a "we're black, the first family, and we're gonna do what we wanna do, we're entitled, screw you" attitude.

President Obama is an arrogant ass, and his wife is worse. I caught a press blip of her new kids and fitness thing. Woof! She needs to practice what she is preaching. The woman has a diesel butt! Aka, a butt the size of a Mac truck. And that yellow skirt?! Looked like a hot air balloon that couldn't get off the ground.

Entighlements, illegal immigrants, and the stimulus plan

Yeah, don't get me started on entightlements, illegal immigrants, and the stimulus plan.

The stimulus plan, yeah that's a good plan. Take from one tax payer and give it to another, explain to me how that helps?

The government takes my money, I make 25k/year, and give it to someone who makes 15k/yr.

Exactly who is getting helped here? I make too much for any government aid, so I give my money to the person who gets government aid.

But I end up making an extra $50/month, due to a tax cut, that I will have to PAY BACK at income tax time, (they don't tell you that), in the meantime, my fat, twice divorced niece, with one college degree, gets a lapband paid for by medicare/medicaid, gets rent assistance, because she is divorced and has 3 kids, never mind her second ex is living with her, and has a job, which is agianst the rules, but who cares about that, and my tax dollars are also paying for her to get, not a college degree, but a SECOND college degree, and she is a white woman.

Can you imagine if she was black, hispanic, asian, iraqui, or god forbid, an illegal immigrant?

If she was an illegal immigrant, the way things are going, Obama would want me to give her my house, make me make the payments, and live in my car, and not only would I need one job, I'd probably need 2 or 3. Heavenly days, God knows, 50 year old white women don't need anything, because we can work!

Ya know, I don't mind giving someone a hand up, but I'm not into giving a hand out!

God helps those that help themselves! Do not ask me for something that you are not willing to give back!

Yes, I said God, I believe in God, I believe in the bible, I believe in the bill of rights, which gives you THE RIGHT TO PURSUE HAPPINESS, not the right to happiness, and I believe in the constituion of the United States of America and the brave people who crafted that document.

Those men are some of the most intelligent people who have ever lived and we should learn from the document they wrote! And I wouldn't be a bit surprised if parts of that document, were not influenced by the women those gentlemen were married to.

I am so sick of the current state of affairs in politics in America, I could just puke.

The whole health care mess is well,,, a mess.

We do not need health care reform, we need how to pay for health care reform. Granted a tough row to hoe, but what Obama wants, is crap.

In fact, in my opinion, everything Obama wants is crap.

You cannot please all of the people all of the time, and not all of the people even want to be pleased.

And as far as Nancy Pelosi goes, that bitch can kiss my ass. She needs to get her nose out of our military, she has no clue what the military is about or what they do, or why they do it. She is so rich and so stuck up on her high horse, if we had a terrorist attack, that disturbed her little world, she wouldn't live a week.

I do not understand the whole health care reform stuff, tax people for having a great plan, and then, tax people who can't afford any insurance at all! Hello! If you can't afford any health insurance, you sure as hell don't need to be taxed for that, you're already fucking broke.

And Nancy Pelosi's value added tax. Give me a break. If the IRS thought they were busy before, the average American citizen, will go back to bartering, cash, growing a garden, raisning a few chickens, a cow or 2, a couple of goats and hogs, a few turkey, and so on and we just won't report what we're doing.

Those of us who have the means will also put in a wood stove, if we don't already have one, we'll chop our wood and screw the heating oil and gas companies, we'll take advantage of our government green programs and install wind and solar power, or we'll simply do it on our own and the government, can kiss off.

I know that our politicians run around trying to please what they think are the biggest groups, that have the most voting power, that will keep them in their cushy political office jobs.

What these politicians have not considered, is the rest of us, who have the good ole American, indepenent, entreprenurial spirit, to go it on our own.

I for one do not need a politician, to make my life happy or comfy!

It's a sad day

I haven't posted for awhile, been busy tending my garden and arming myself to survive Obama and his plans. *rolls eyes*

In the spirit of horse shoes, I did actually join a team and throw shoes this summer, it was a blast.

Now, onto the Redneck Revue.

The whole Acorn, prositution, finance thing, has me steamed.

Now, the folks who caught Acorn, in the act of telling folks how to finance the importation of underage girls for prostitution, are suing because they think their rights have been stomped on. And best of all our tax dollars are going to finance the legal defense.

Pitching shoes

At this particular point in time, the only thing I'm not fed up with is throwing shoes with my team mates on Wednesday nights.

Obama can kiss mine, the boss can kiss mine, the hubby can kiss mine, my mother, my inlaws, they can all kiss mine.

The hubby got me into pitching shoes this summer. I actually enjoy it. My Grandpa was pretty good at it.

A few weeks ago we had to fix gramma's plumbing and she still had Grandpa's old pitching shoes and she gave them to us. These shoes are over 50 years old and they are great.

I had not thrown a shoe since I was a kid, but wonder of wonders, I ended up doing pretty good after a few weeks.

As it turns out, I was only a sub, but ended up doing better than some regular team members.

In late breaking economic news, Cafepress, the industry leader in Print On Demand Companies has just laid off thousands of employees.

I have to clarify they did not really lay off people, but they changed the terms of service for the use of their print on demand company and just cut the income of the people who provide their content.

If you used to make $1000 a month, you will now be lucky to make $100.

Cafepress has decided that they will set the base price of shirts sold in their market place. These shirts have designs on them from a host of people all over the world. You buy a t-shirt or a mug or a sticker or a yard sign at Cafepress not for the product, but for the design.

Cafepress has decided in it's infinite business wisdom that the designs of it's members are now only worth a 10 percent markup instead of what mark up the designer wished.

In the good old days, a plain old white t-shirt might have a base price of 14.99 at Cafepress, the designer decides his/her design is worth $10. So they add a $10 markup, and make that $10 every time that shirt sells with that design. COOL.

Now, Cafepress is going to set the base price of the same white t-shirt at, hmm $20, the designer gets a whopping 10 percent or $2.00. Whoopdeefuckingdo.

And as of late they've like offering Easter and Earth Day designs on shirts cheaper than they will give the shopkeeper the same shirt at base price. Essentially CP is now competing against the designers who fill their website with great stuff.

Flooding in North Dakota

A prayer for the folks fighting the flooding in North Dakota.


The good, hardy folks up there have closed the schools and everyone is out night and day in the cold, snowy, crappy weather, sandbagging around the clock in an effort to save their homes.

So where is FEMA? I haven't heard one word about FEMA being in North Dakota braving the cold and snow.

I guess FEMA is a fair weather organization.

It's probably just as well they don't show up, they would just be in the way, and would not be able to handle the conditions, and would probably have to be rescued by the folks they're trying to save.

Wife swap

So I'm sitting at home on a Friday night with a cold six pack and the remote, so I"m watching wife swap.

Dear God, deliver me from anal retentive, compulsive clean freak women!

I've watched Wife Swap a lot and it is very interesting how one culture of family can learn from another. The show has never offended me until tonight. One woman who is one of those folks who scrubs her GRANITE counter tops 3 times a day, just called the drag racing family "white trash" and "low class"!

OMG!

We don't all come from the same world. I am not a clean freak, but I do like a clean house. Not polished, just clean and reasonably organized.

And I did teach my kids manners and how to be polite. My kids had chores, and had to contribute to the family. But I also allowed my children to make choices about interests they wanted to pursue.

I have a very diverse family. My aunt Linda Lussetto is super stocker tractor puller. Aunt Linda and her husband recently retired and do nothing but raise horses, pugs and go tractor pulling. Her husband, Pete, takes care of the mechanic work, Linda drives the tractor, fire suit and all, and she is damn good at it and I'm proud of her.

Don't get me wrong! I have a cousin who is also a very successful lawyer in Denver, Co. and I admire her too. But how many, over educated, holier than thou, I am an independent women, who think highly of them selves would don that fireproof suit and take on that tractor and all that power and go balls to the wall with it? And aunt Linda is 60 and still spewing fire and brimstone and putting it all on the line in the name of speed, power and fun!

There are 2 women in this world that I admire, and neither one is famous.

One is my sister Kellee, who has made her way and become successful in spite of everything against her, and aunt Linda, because she is so unconventional, and totally does everything against all odds and rules.
Women NASCAR drivers do not have anything on my aunt Linda. She's been into power and speed before those broads were ever born.
